SAP E-Book

This IMG activity creates the RFC connections SAP-OSS and SAP-OSS-LIST-O01 to the SAP Service and Support systems, and assigns a user to them.

The S-User you want to assign to the RFC connections SAP-OSS and SAP-OSS -LIST-O01 has to be assigned to your customer number. For security reasons it should have no authorizations since it could be misused for direct logon.

See:

SAP Solution Manager Security Guide.

  1. Choose Settings -> Global Settings in the SAP Solution Manager Solution Overview.
  2. Choose Display <→ Change.
  3. For SAP Service Marketplace, specify http://service.sap.com as the URL.
  4. To assign a user to the RFC connections SAP-OSS and SAP-OSS-LIST-O01, enter a valid S-User and a password. When the entries are saved, two new connections will be generated and you must enter a valid S-user and password, to have the right users/passwords assigned to these new connections.
  5. Save your changes.
The system automatically generates the following RFC destinations and assigns the S-User you specified in Global Settings:
  • SAP-OSS

  • SAP-OSS-LIST-O01

Check RFC connections

  1. Check and test the new RFC connections:
  • SAP-OSS

  • SAP-OSS-LIST-O01

  1. Check that the load distribution group of both destinations is 1_PUBLIC.
