Use

This IMG activity creates and/or updates users and business partners by mass maintenance, with the report AI_SDK_USER_BP_GEN. Users who have created a message in a managed system can follow its processing status in the Solution Manager system.

The report:

  • compares the Solution Manager system with managed systems
  • lists newly-created users in the managed systems
  • creates new users and/or business partners in the Solution Manager
  • updates newly-created users and/or business partners in the Solution Manager
You can also schedule the report as a background job, to get regular updates.

The processor must have a user (SAPNETUSID with valid S-number) in the Solution Manager system, to be able to send messages to SAP.

You have installed the ST-PI plug-in in the managed systems.

  1. Run the report AI_SDK_USER_BP_GEN. Enter the data for each area:

Choose User

  1. To be able to choose users from managed systems, you must specify via which RFC connection the system is to read the user:
  • Existing READ connection

  • Trusted connection

  1. Enter a selection date.
The report checks which users have been added since the specified date.

Create user

  1. Choose the user selection criteria.
The system checks the IDs of the managed system, either by their user names, or their E-Mail assignment.
Note: If you choose identification by E-Mail address, you must have maintained the E-Mail addresses of the users.
  1. Set the flags for the activities to create/update business partners/users.
Note: If you choose users of type Reference User, you must have created this user with role assignments, to be copied . You can also create a "Template" user .

Schedule report as background job

You can run the report weekly in the background. Create a variant.

Note: You must assign user maintenance authorization to the user who schedules the job.
