In this Customizing activity, you create a processor for:

  • Service Desk messages
  • Issues, tasks, and top issues in Issue Management

Positions in the organizational units of the organization model in the SAP Solution Manager system (transaction PPOMA_CRM) must be assigned to the users who are defined as message processors in the Service Desk (Incident Management). This makes it possible to assign messages using automatic partner determination.

The processor must have a user (SAPNETUSID with valid S number) in the SAP Solution Manager system to be able to send messages to SAP.

The message processor must have the following business partner roles in the system:

Business Partner (General)

Proceed as described in Create Key Users.

Employee

Create Employees Automatically

You can create the business partners for employees automatically and check these in the transaction BP (Identification tab page). At the same time, the system creates the business partner roles Key User and Employee automatically for the local system (Solution Manager).

You can create employees automatically only for system users in the local system (Solution Manager).

  1. To display the local system, choose User List -> Add System.
  2. Select the local system.
  • System

  1. Select users.
You can select individual users or several users at a time using the SHIFT or CTRL key. You can select non-consecutive users using the CTRL key.
You can filter users by date by choosing Date Selection. For example, enter 10/02/04 to display all users that were created or changed after October 2, 2004. You can enter the number of days that are to be subtracted from the current date in the field BP_GEN_DAYS in the transaction DNO_CUST04.
To display all users, delete all date entries.
  1. Choose Edit -> Create Business Partner.
The system displays a dialog box.
  1. Confirm your entries.
Business partners are created for the selected users.

Create Employees Manually

  1. In Maintain Business Partner (transaction BP), select Business Partner -> Create -> Person. Alternatively, edit an existing business partner of the type Person.
  2. Choose the role Employee.
  3. Select the Address tab page and enter the address information for the message processor.
  4. Select the Identification tab page and go to the Employee Data section.
  5. Enter the user ID for the message processor in the User Name field.
  6. Save your entries.
If the system displays an error message from the program CRM_MKTBP_ZCAL_UPDATE_30, read SAP Note 450640.
  1. Repeat these steps to create additional users.
