This IMG activity creates a sold-to party for your Service Desk. This is the organizational unit in the customer system that is responsible for the systems from which the key (end) users report problems. You can create a sold-to party automatically or manually.

  1. Choose Edit → Expert Settings.
  2. Give the value C to the option Generate Business Partners from OSS.
You can choose the following values:
  • C: Business partners are generated with the SAP customer number and ID type SP0001

  1. Save.
The data is created by the background job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT, which should be scheduled regularly. If you want to copy the data immediately, you can schedule it immediately, manually. Check that the background job ran successfully, in the job log of transaction SM37.
Note:The user under which the job runs must be in the table AISUSER, and needs authorization for system data maintenance in the SAP Support Portal.
  1. In transaction Maintain Business Partners (transaction BP), choose Business Partner -> Create -> Organization.
  2. Choose the role Sold-to Party.
  3. Choose the Address tab and enter the address data for the sold-to party.
  4. Choose Sales Area Data.
  5. Choose Choose Sales Area.
  6. Choose Sales Organization - Sales
  7. On the Billing tab, select currency EUR from the input help.
For more information on currency assignment, see SAP Note 858961.
  1. Save.
If an error message is sent by program CRM_MKTBP_ZCAL_UPDATE_30, see SAP Note 450640.
  1. Repeat the steps to create additional sponsors.

Note:

If you also define a "Support Team" as a business partner, set the same country attribute for the support team as for the organization. Otherwise, errors could occur in the partner determination.
