SOLMAN_TEST_MAILUSR - Register Users for Receiving E-Mail Notifications

Testers and users who are responsible for test packages and test plans can receive e-mail notifications about the execution of test cases and the test results.

E-mail notifications are sent in the following cases:

• A failure occurs during the execution of a test case (only the first error triggers a notification).

• The execution is finished.

• To receive notifications, the user must set up a default profile in his personalization settings, and one of the following roles in the testing process must be assigned to the them:

• Tester (the person who executes the test)

• Test plan responsible

• Test package responsible

• Note that these roles are only attributes under test packages and test plans and have no relation to SAP roles.
  Typically, the tester role is used. You can use the other roles if the testing process in your organization requires you to do so. During development, for example, it can be useful if a user is a tester in one test plan, and a test package responsible in another one.

• A business partner with a valid e-mail address is assigned to the user.
  For the user executing a test, only the user name and e-mail address maintained in transaction SU01 are transmitted and used for the notification. For the other persons involved, the e-mail addresses of the business partners maintained in SAP Solution Manager are used.

1. From the launchpad go to the tile Personalization.
2. Create a profile and set it as Default.
3. Go to the Test Automationarea and check the roles for which you want to receive notifications for execution of automated tests.
4. Save your settings.
