SOLMAN_TMT_COMMUSER - Set-Up Communication User

For communicating with the external test tool, you have to set up a user in the external test tool and assigned this user to external test tool projects. The Solution Manager system needs the technical user to establish the connection between the Solution Manager project and the external test tool project.

You only have to carry out this IMG activity, if you are using the same technical user for communication for all projects and want to store this user as the default communication user. When you are linking a Solution Manager project with a test project in the external test tool, you are no longer prompted to specify a user.

If you want to use another user for communication in individual projects, you can overwrite this default communication user in the project assignment of the Solution Manager project to an external test tool project in Solution Manager project management.

1. Enter the respective communication user and password.

2. Save.

You want to link the external test tool projects <JT> and <HZ> with Solution Manager projects <CK> and <DN>. Proceed as follows:

3. You create a communication user for your external test tool projects in the external test tool.

4. You perform this activity in Solution Manager.

5. In project management (TA: SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN), you check whether the corresponding communication user has been saved as the default for Solution Manager projects <CK> and <DN>.
