The logical port specifies the server on which IBM Rational SAP Connector is installed. It is used to transfer data to the external Test Management Tool. The Web AS HTTP or HTTPS port is used, depending on the information in the URL.

The connection can be lost if the maximum processing time for the Web AS port is exceeded when transferring large amounts of data.

The maximum processing time is in the application server instance profile parameter icm/server_prot_<x>, where <x> is a number. The parameter PROCTIMEOUT is set for the corresponding protocol (HTTP or HTTPS). It should be at least 300.

Example: icm/server_port_0 PROT=HTTP, PORT=50010, PROCTIMEOUT=300

If you want to set this parameter, proceed as described in the IMG activity Maintain Profile Parameters.

  1. In the Service Administration tab, choose Configure Web Services.
  2. Enter the following data:
  • Search for: Consumer Proxy

  • Search term: CO_AGS_SM_TESTDATA_API

  1. Start the search.
  2. Choose the consumer proxy and then Apply Selection.
  3. Go to the Configuration tab.
  4. To create the logical port, click the Create Log. Port button.
  5. Enter the required data in the dialog box that appears:
  • Logical port: <Name of the logical port>

  • URL for WSDL access: <http://<ExternalTestToolServer>:<ExternesTestToolPort>/< PathToReachtheWSDL>/AGS_SM_TESTDATA_API?wsdl>. <ExternalTestToolPort> is the port with which IBM Rational SAP Connector is linked on the server. You can find the correct path to WSDL in note 1480768 or in the documentation for the IBM Rational SAP Connector.

  1. Mark the Logical port is standard field.
  2. Choose Copy Settings.
  3. Go to the Messaging tab
  4. -,,Choose the Message ID Protocol "Suppress ID"
  5. -,,Choose the Transfer Protocol "Transfer by HTTP Header"
  6. Save.
