In this IMG activity, you create a technical user with limited authorizations. You use this user to access the Web service that the external test tool uses to transfer test results to the Solution Manager system.

For roles and authorizations, see the SAP Solution Manager Security Guide on Service Marketplace -> SAP Components -> SAP Solution Manager <current release>.

Create a user

  1. Enter a user name, for example, QCALIAS, in user maintenance.
  2. Choose the user type Service.
  3. Give the user a password and save.

Assign a role to the user

  1. Copy role SAP_TMT_INTERFACE in role maintenance, and assign the copy to the user.
  2. Ensure that the profile for this role is generated and the users are compared.
  3. Save.
