SOLMAN_VAR_MAINT - Maintain SAP Customer Numbers

You maintain your SAP customer number(s), to be able to use basic SAP Solution Manager functions.

If you only manage one or few SAP customer numbers, perform the activity Manual Maintenance.

If you manage a lot of SAP customer numbers, or you are registered by SAP as a system house (VAR) or Customer Competence Center (CCC), you can get all your SAP customer numbers from the SAP Support Portal. Perform the activity Generate SAP Customer Numbers.

In the activity Generate SAP Customer Numbers, put an S user which is a CCC or VAR user, in the destination.

  1. Maintain SAP customer numbers
Manual Maintenance
Enter your SAP customer number(s) manually. You can copy and insert an existing list.
Generate SAP customer numbers
Choose Execute.
This runs the program AI_SC_GET_SAP_CUSTOMER_NUMBERS with the connection. It fills the maintenance view V_AISAPCUSTNOS.
Note: You can also fill this maintenance view manually, with the activity "Manual Maintenance", if you have problems, for example using acopyable list.
  • Customer number

  • Generate All: Set the flag if you want the system to create all systems with this customer number, in the system landscape maintenance (transaction SMSY). Otherwise, the system only includes the systems of installations selected in the maintenance view V_AIINSNRS. See the IMG activity for Copying Data from SAP.

  • No RFC: Set the flag for documentation purposes, if your customer does not allow RFC access to his systems.

  • Contact Person: Customer number which you use to get the RFC destination for communication with SAP.

  • Relationship: Choose the Relationship from the value help.

  1. Check whether the flag is set for the generated SAP customer numbers, inthe maintenance view. You can repeat the activity Manual Maintenance.
Dependencies
Only set the "Generate All" flag if you do not use SLD (see System Landscape Maintenance IMG activities), and want the background job REFRESH_ADMIN_DATA_FROM_SUPPORT to put all systems of the customer number known to SAP, in the Solution Manager System Landscape Maintenance (transaction SMSY).
Note: If you do not set the flag, only the systems of the installations are included which you selected in the maintenance view V_AIINSNRS.
