This entry deactivates Java-dependent functions in ALV (e.g. Print version), system-wide. This is useful if you do not fulfill the prerequesites for the Java stack, because these functions are then not available. See SAP note 918236. Specifying that the Java stack is not available prevents functions which are not available being offered to the user in the interface, e.g. Print version is hidden.

It is assumed that the Java stack is installed, with the prerequisites in SAP note 918236, by default.

  1. Perform the linked IMG activity.
  2. Set the value X for the entry Java stack is installed.
  3. Save.
