SOR_SRPLDET_FCST_TYP - BAdI: Determine Forecast Method for Surplus and Obsolescence Planning

The Business Add-In (BAdI) /SAPAPO/SOR_SRPLDET_FCST_TYPEis used in the Service Parts Planning(SPP) application component.

You can use this BAdI to define which forecasts the system uses in surplus and obsolescence planning. The following choices are available:

• exponentially smoothed forecasting

• phase-out forecasting

Note:

You can not use the phase-out forecast for products that are still being produced.

The BAdI is not filter-dependent.

The BAdI is not designed for multiple use.

The BAdI is active in the standard setup.

In the standard implementation,

if you still produce the product, the system calculates the surplus quantity based on an exponentially smoothed forecast. If the production end date of the product has already passed, the system uses the phase-out forecast.
