The Business Add-In (BAdI) /SAPAPO/SPP_SOR_UI is used in the Service Parts Planning (SPP) application component.

You can use this BAdI as decision support for your inventory planners.

On the Surplus and Obsolescence Approvalscreen (/SAPAPO/SPPSOR), all surplus quantities that the system has not automatically approved are displayed. Your planners have to manually approve these quantities by assigning a surplus decision code to each surplus quantity.

In this BAdI, you can define a logic according to which the system either recommends approval of a surplus quantity or marks a surplus quantity as critical. When your planners access the Surplus and Obsolescence Approvalscreen and choose the Go pushbutton for their product selection, the system not only displays the surplus quantities that need to be manually approved, but it also sets the Approve or the Criticalindicator for each surplus quantity.

In the default BAdI implementation the following logic is implemented:

  • The system sets the Approve indicator if the following conditions are fulfilled:
  • The user is authorized to approve the surplus quantity.

For more information, see SAP Library for SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) -> SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO) -> Service Parts Planning (SPP) -> Surplus and Obsolescence Planning -> Surplus Approval.
  • The available quantity is greater than or equal to the suggested surplus quantity plus the quantity that is included in scrapping orders.

  • The system sets the Criticalindicator for all surplus quantities for which it does not set the Approve indicator.

This default implementation is implemented in the /SAPAPO/SPP_SOR_UI_DEFAULT class.

Your planner has assigned a surplus decision code to the surplus quantity in question. Otherwise the system does not set the Approve indicator.

The BAdI is active in the standard system.

The BAdI is not filter-dependent.

The BAdI is designed for multiple use

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.

This BAdI uses the interface /SAPAPO/IF_BADI_SPP_SOR_UI. For more information, display the interface in the Class Builder.
