SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you make settings so that sales representatives can use graphical views of shelves to optimize shelf layout in the store while working with activity journals in CRM Mobile. The settings you make here are saved in an activity journal template type, which is effective from the date on which you make the settings.

The third-party tool, SX-PlanoManager, provided by Strategix Enterprise Technology GmbH is required to use the shelf management function with CRM Activity Management. This tool is already integrated with CRM Activity Management.

  1. Activate the shelf management function by setting the Shelf field to On.This function is deactivated by default; all the tile sets, screens, and fields related to this function are hidden on the CRM Mobileinterface until you activate the function.
  2. If you want to download planograms with products from partner/product ranges (PPRs), set the PPR On / Offfield to On. In the standard configuration, PPR type 0PLN (PPR for planogram) and PPR set type PLNSETTYPE (product attributes for planogram) are the default values of the PPR Type and Set Type fields. You can change the values of these fields.
  3. The Display Planogram field is set to Onby default, indicating that the planogram must be automatically displayed on the CRM Mobile interface. If you set this field to Off, sales representatives must choose Display Planogram in CRM Mobileto view the planogram.
  4. If you want product images to be shown automatically in the planogram in CRM Mobile, set the Load Prod.Image field to On; otherwise, the products are shown with simple placeholders. The color and shape of the product images are defined in Strategix PlanoManager; they cannot be changed in CRM.
  5. Choose the hierarchy category, which is required for data transfer between CRM and Strategix PlanoManager. The Shelf Management hierarchy category is provided as default here, but you can use other hierarchy categories, provided the structure of the hierarchy tree fulfils the following conditions:
  • The tree can have only two levels of nodes

  • The first level can have only one business partner assigned to it, which has the account group as the sold-to party

  • The second level nodes can have any number of business partners, and they must have account group as retailers

  1. Enter the URL to which realogram data must be sent in the Realogram Upload URL field. It is used for transferring realogram data from CRM toStrategix PlanoManager. The realogram data that the sales representatives enter (during activity processing) is stored at this URL on the Strategix Web server. This step is mandatory.
  2. Choose the Transaction Type, Frequency, and Activity Categories for the activity journal. This step is mandatory.
  3. Choose the Create Template Type pushbutton.
  4. If you made any Customizing settings for Activity Journals under Customer Relationship Management > Transactions> Settings for Activities > Activity Journals > Industry-Specific Fields, choose the Store Journal Attributes pushbutton. This step is required for transfer of activity journal attributes (in the form of an XML file) from CRM to CRM Mobileso that the attributes are available on the Strategix PlanoViewer.
  • The system creates a template type with the ID, ACJTTPL, where is a value from 001 to 999. The new template type is valid from the day you create it. The previous template type is no longer valid.
  • The Create Template Type pushbutton is disabled. It is enabled again the next day. Then, if you want to, you can create another template type with a different transaction type, frequency, and activity category.
  • When a planogram is downloaded from Strategix PlanoManager to CRM Mobile, it is saved as a template of the type, ACJTTPL. Sales representatives can use this template to create the activity journal relating to shelf management.
Note: Sales representatives need not use any special template to highlight products that are part of campaigns; however, to highlight other products, they must create a separate template type and associate the required products to it in SAP CRM Mobile System Maintenance > Shelf Management.
