SP_PLDORD_SORTING - BAdI: Sorting of Planned Orders

This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in repetitive manufacturing in the sequencing of planned orders (component PP-FLW-SEQ).

This BAdI enables you to change the scheduling sequence for the planned orders for a material within a planning period in sequencing for the production smoothing (Heijunka)procedure.

The method of this BAdI is relevant only to procedure profiles with the production smoothing (Heijunka)procedure. This method is not invoked for procedure profiles with other procedures.

With the sequencing procedures for production smoothing, the number of all planned orders per material within a planning period is first determined in order to determine the scheduling sequence. Determination of the next material to be scheduled on the production line is carried out by the sequencing algorithm. If you work with the Dispatch Same Materials Togetheroption, all orders for the material with the most planned orders are first scheduled on the line; then follows the material with the second-highest number of planned orders and so on. If you do not choose the Dispatch Same Materials Togetheroption, the next material to be scheduled results from a prioritized equal distribution of the planned orders for all materials on the production line.

Within a planning period, the planned orders for a material that are to be scheduled are sorted according to the following criteria:

1. Kanban indicator (planned orders for kanbans are scheduled first)
2. Customer order number (planned orders for sales orders (make-to-order) are scheduled before make-to-stock orders). With regard to the sales order numbers, a First-In First-Out sorting has been implemented.
3. Planned order number (for planned orders for make-to-stock, a First-In First-Out sorting with regard to the planned order number has been implemented).

Using this BAdI method, you can change the named sort sequence for the planned orders for a material within the planning period.

• The Business Add-In is not active in the standard system.

• The Business Add-In is not filter-dependent.

• The Business Add-In cannot be used multiple times.

The example implementation of this BAdI achieves a sorting of planned orders according to the total quantity of the individual planned orders to be produced. The planned orders for certain materials with large production quantities are scheduled before the planned orders with smaller production quantities within a planning period.
