Maintain decision table entries to determine integration scenario for Tax Compliance.

Use

In statutory reporting, a BRFplus decision table expression is used to determine the appropriate integration scenarios, which will then be used to get insights from SAP Tax Compliance. A decision table is built up as a table with condition columns and a result column where an expression is used to compare a given input against a list of predefined combinations of conditions. Each combination has an individual result assigned which is returned as the expression result when the input data matches the particular combination.

For more details on BRFplus decision tables and integration scenarios, please see the topic Statutory Reporting Integration with SAP Tax Compliance.

Based on the check results from SAP Tax Compliance for SAP S/4HANA, the KPIs are displayed in the Detailed Statuscolumn in the Run Statutory Reportsapp against the Tax Complianceactivity.

Prerequisites

  • Make sure that you have defined the Integration Scenarioin Customizing for Define Integration Scenariounder SAP Tax Compliance.
  • Before you determine Integration Scenariofor SAP Tax Compliance, follow the steps in the SAP Note 2947562.

In the decision table, the columns are maintained as shown below:

Country/Region Report Category ID Reporting Entity Integration Scenarios

Input Input Input Output

The Country/Region, Report Category ID, and Reporting Entitycolumns are condition columns and the Integration Scenario column is the result column.

A valid integration scenario must be maintained in the table for the checks to be performed in SAP Tax Compliance for SAP S/4HANA.

Note

Please note that this implementation is only relevant when you use the Tax Compliancereporting activity for your statutory reports. For more information, please see the statutory reporting documentation on the SAP help portal.

The following table illustrates the decision table example given above to determine the checks to be performed in SAP Tax Compliance:

Country/Region Report Category ID Reporting Entity Integration Scenario
=GB (United Kingdom) =GB_VAT_DCL IS_GB_VAT
=GB (United Kingdom)
=GB (United Kingdom) =GB_VAT_DCL RPG_ENT_GB IS_GB_ENT

In this table, you see a list of Integration Scenarios being defined to match the different combinations of conditions. Now, when a reporting task is selected for the report category GB_VAT_DCL and reporting entity RPG_ENT_GB, the Integration Scenario fetched is IS_GB_VAT.

If a reporting task is selected for the report category GB_VAT_DCL and any other reporting entity (for example, ZTEST_GB) the Integration Scenario fetched is IS_GB.

If a reporting task is selected for the country GB with any other report category, then the Integration Scenario picked is IS_GB_ENT.

Based on the integration scenario picked, the checks are run, and the results are displayed in the Check My Compliance Resultsapp. The KPIs from SAP Tax Compliance for SAP S/4HANAare displayed in the Run Statutory Reports app against the Tax Complianceactivity.
