SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity you can specify the activities and activity functions of the process route.

  • Activity

If you create a process route you must assign an activity to each process route position. In this activity you determine which activities can be chosen from.

  • Activity function
The person who executes a process route can select via pushbuttons an activity function for the activity to be carried out. For example, for the activity "Record Under Reservation", "Do Not Record" and "Not Responsible".

SAP supplies a Customizing template, which you can modify and enhance.

Maintaining Activities

Make the following entries:

  • Activity area:
Use the F4 help to select an activity area. SAP delivers the area SRMDP for the circular and the area SCMG for Case Management.
  • Activity:
Unique name for the activity
  • Activity description
  • Task:
Workflow task for performing a step in the process route
  • Class:
Class that implements the individual steps in the process route. The class must implement the interface IF_SRM_DIS_WFPATH_ACTIVITY.

Maintaining the Activity Functions

Select a line containing the activity you want to create the activity functions for and in the lefthand navigation toolbar choose Maintaining Functions. Make the following entries:

  • Activity:
Technical name of the activity you want to create activity functions for
  • Activity Function:
Unique name for the activity function
  • Function:
Text for the activity function. This text appears on the pushbutton, which is displayed when the user performs the activity.
  • Display:
Text for displaying the activity functions. This text appears in a second hierarchy level underneath the element the activity refers to, after the user has pressed the relevant pushbutton. This is how the execution of the process route position is recorded.
  • Icon:
Icon to be displayed on the pushbutton in addition to the text.

Note: You can create any number of activity functions for one activity.
