In this IMG activity, you can create a status profile. The status profile defines the initial status, and the object category and object type (relevant for raising exceptions). You define the assignment between the status profile and status values in the next IMG activity, Define Status Network.

You must then enter the status profile as a value for the connection parameter STATE_PROFILE_ID in the registry. This enters the status profile as an element type for records. If the user then creates a record with this element type, the attribute Status appears in the attribute maintenance dialog.

Make the following entries:

  • Profile
ID for the status profile
  • Name
  • Status ID
Status you defined in the IMG activity Define Status (use the F4 help). You use the status ID to define the initial status within the status profile. You can define any successor statuses in the following IMG activity Define Status Network.
  • Object category
Use the F4 help. You must select BOR Object Type for the status management of the record.
  • Object type
  • When you select BOR Object Type: Internal technical key of a business object in the Business Object Repository (BOR). The entry is linked to the entry in the field Event in the IMG activity Define Status. The event must belong to the object types entered here. You must enter RECORD for the status management of the record.

  • When you select ABAP Class: Name of the class
