SRP_BASIC_2 - Define Smart Forms

In this activity, you incorporate SAP Smart Forms as templates for e-mail and groupware integration. You can send the e-mails that you define in this activity directly from the Resource Planning Application when assigning employees or service arrangements.

Smart Forms are language-specific. You should define separate templates for each language.

You have created SAP Smart Forms (in the SMARTFORMS transaction). you should copy one of the standard forms provided and modify it to suit your requirements. You can, of course, create your own forms. If you do create new forms, you must also define the interface.

The standard system provides various forms as templates for the subject line and the body text of e-mails to the selected manager or resource. It also provides templates for e-mails describing tasks and announcing appointments.

If you do not select any templates, the e-mail remains blank.

1. Choose New Entries.

2. In the Usage Type field, select the type of template.

3. In the Form Name field, use the possible entries help to select a form.

4. Enter the language of the form.

5. Save your data.
