Using this BAdI, you can define a profile for a demand, be it either a Service Order Item or cProjects Role. A profile can be customized to define the behavior of the Resource Planner Application.

The BAdI method GET_PROFILE requires two import parameters:

• DEMAND_TYPE - This parameter defines the demand for which this profile is relevant. DEMAND_TYPE could be Service Order Demand, Multi-Step Project Role Demand, or a Project Role Demand.

• DEMAND_GUID - If the DEMAND_TYPE is 1 (Service Order Demand), this parameter corresponds to the Service Order GUID. If the DEMAND_TYPE is 2 or 3 (Multi-Step Project Role Demand or Project Role Demand), this parameter corresponds to the cProjects Role GUID.

This BAdI returns as an export parameter the value PROFILE_ID. If an ID for a Service Order Demand was requested, it must be defined using the customizing activity Define Service Profiles for Scheduling. Otherwise, if an ID for a Multi-Step Project Role Demand or Project Role Demand was requested, it must be defined using the customizing activity Define Project Profiles for Scheduling.

SAP Delivers a Implementation to this BAdI (WFDS_STEERING_PROFIL,,Default implementation for get profile BAdI). In this implementation always the default profile is returned. The default is a flag on the profile.
