SRP_SOBD_7 - Define Location of Service to be Performed

In this IMG Activity you define the location where a service must be performed. You can define whether any (or all) of the following can be used as the location of a service order item:

• Part Causing Defect header level

• Part Causing Defect item level

• Main Reference Object header level

• Main Reference Object item level

• Ship to Party item level

• Sold to Party item level

This location is used for:

• Determining distance for find and rank purposes, and for searches on criteria such as maximum distance or postal code.

• Determining a service area.

• Display purposes in the service order item list.

1. Select an existing entry or choose New Entries to define a new location.

2. Choose a source location from the dropdown list.

3. Enter a priority for the source.

If an order has a part causing defect on header and item level and the following is customized:

• Part causing defect on item level priority 1

• Part causing defect on header level priority 2

Then the part causing defect on item level is the location where a job must be performed.
