STOCK_PRICES_INPUT - Enter Security Prices

This function allows you tomanually process the prices in a securities class at a certain exchange. It is insignificant here whether you also import the prices into the system via the the market data file interface or thedatafeed.

Before you can can maintain the price for a class for the first time, the class must have been created in the Securities application and asigned to at least one exchange. The price currency must be fixed here for unit-quoted securities.

  1. Enter the ID number and the exchange.
  2. You can display the prices entered via the 'Display' button.
  3. You can branch to the change screen via the 'Change' button.
  4. The following screens 'Display Securities Prices'and 'Change Securities Prices' are split into three sections.
In the first area, the general data relating to the ID number is displayed. In the second area, the maximum/minimum prices are displayed. In the third area, entitled 'Price information', the prices are displayed in chronological order. The following price details are in the list:
  1. Price date
  2. Price type
  3. Absolute price (Market value entered depending on price type)
  4. Currency (Note: this field does not appear for percentage-quoted securities.)
  5. Price notation
  6. Origin ( this specifies whether the respective price was entered manually or automatically (e.g. via TELERATE).
  • You get a display of the price history via the 'Chart' button.
  • If you would like to know on which day one of the high/low prices arose, press the 'Search'button to the right of the price. The price you are looking for appears in the first line. If you would like to see the price on a particular day, enter the date in the entry field on the lower toolbar and press 'Enter'.
    1. In the change screen, the first line of the price information list is for a new price entry.
    2. Enter the Price date, Price type, Market value and Price notation. The price date and price type (01) are predefined but can be overwritten.
    3. You can manually overwrite price entries that already exist (e.g. those imported via the datafeed). To make further price entries, choose 'Edit → New input line'.
    Note:
    If the new price entry is outside of the range defined in the class data, you see a warning message in the status line.
    1. To delete a price entry, choose 'Edit → Delete price entry'.
    2. Save your entries.
