Generating a URL in order to open a task instance in the SAP Fiori My Inbox

You want to generate a link in order to open and execute a task instance. The generated link can be read with CDS view I_WorkflowTaskURL, field WorkflowTaskURL.

These links have the following structure:

<protocol>://<host>:<port>/<alias>?sap-client=<sapClient>&sap-ushell-config=hea derless#WorkflowTask-displayInbox?standaloneDetailDeep=true&/detail_deep/<sapOrigin>/<taskId>/TaskCollection(SAP__Origin='<sapOrigin>',InstanceID='<taskId>')

The following parameter can be automatically determined by the system:

The following parameters have to be configured:

alias System alias The administration manual for the SAP Fiori launchpad provides a description of how the launchpad URL can be configured (see SAP Help Portal). The default alias /sap/bc/ui2/flp/FioriLaunchpad.html should work as long as it is not blocked by the system.
host Host The host name of the SAP Fiori launchpad server
port Port The port of the SAP Fiori launchpad server
protocol Protocol Permitted values: http or https
sapClient Client Client of the Fiori launchpad server
sapOrigin Additional parameter The alias of the back-end system maintained on the Gateway server
This parameter must also be maintained if you want to allow direct navigation from a push notification to a work item in SAP Fiori My Inbox. If no parameter is maintained, you can only navigate from a push notification to the overview list in SAP Fiori My Inbox, not to the actual work item.

Remarks:

  • In a managed cloud system, the configuration is created automatically by SAP Managed Scenario SAP_COM_1122
  • The configuration can be tested in this activity. The test can only be performed in display mode, as this is only possible for saved data.
  • The test UI displays the URL if a configuration has been saved and the work item exists in the system. You can test the URL by double-clicking it or copying it to the address bar in the browser.
Additional parameter

You want to send a mail for a work item with a link in order to open the SAP Fiori My Inbox for it. You have added an association to IWorkflowTaskURL to the CDS view in the e-mail template. Now add the following to the text:
