The Data Transfer Workbench supports the automatic transfer of data into any system based on SAP Web Application Server technology.

The Workbench is particularly useful for business objects with large data volumes. It guarantees that data is transferred efficiently and ensures that data is consistent.

It provides you with the necessary tools as well as with access to the standard programs to execute the data transfer.

The SAP Data Transfer Workbench supports the IDoc format as input, among others.

To be able to use the SAP Data Transfer Workbench, you must use the external interface for IDocs provided by the SAP XIF Adapter.

ALE passes data in IDoc format to the SAP XIF Adapter, which converts the data to BDoc format and calls the messaging flow with context MI0 (mBDoc Validate) to pass them to the CRM application for validation.

The Legacy System Migration Workbench is the recommended data conversion tool to be used with the SAP Data Transfer Workbench.
