SXES_CATEGORY - Define Categories

In this IMG activity you can define categories that contain different types of searchable objects. Categories are used to structure and simplify the object type selection on the Business Bydesign Search UI in the portal.

For each category you can define the appearance on the UI as listed below:

• Display name

• Order in the dropdown list

• If all contained object types are displayed

You assign object types to the categories in the IMG activity Define Search Service Providers and Object Types.

Depending on the connected search service providers (SSP), the searchable object types can be business objects, files, and BI objects. An object type can be assigned to one category only. If there is no object type assigned to a category, the category is not displayed on the UI.
