SXES_SYST_SET - Make System Settings
ABAP Short Reference General Data in Customer MasterThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this IMG activity, you configure the system settings for Business ByDesign Search at the client level, and set up the interactive navigation feature.
Logon/Server Group
The meta search uses parallel RFC calls to query multiple search service providers (SSP) in parallel. You can select a logon/server group to be used to balance the load of these RFC calls. If you do not enter a logon/server group here, the system#s default settings are used. You do not have to enter anything here.
You may want to configure a special logon/server group for Business ByDesign Search in one of the following cases:
- Reserve server resources
- Limit the resource usage
You define logon/server groups using theRFC Server Group Maintenance (transaction RZ12).
In addition, you can also decide to switch off the parallel search execution. In this case, the logon/server group specified is ignored.
Example
You can specify for a logon/server group the number of dialog work processes that cannot be occupied by RFCs. These work processes are reserved for dialog users. By this you can assure that the search leaves enough system resources for dialog users.
Interactive Navigation
You can activate and configure the interactive navigation feature of TREX, if it is implemented by the SSP. The Business ByDesign Search uses the interactive navigation to provide an additional header area in the result list of the portal UI, which enables the user to narrow down the results.
