S_JAM_SERVER - Server Settings

In this Customizing activity, you maintain the client-specific settings for the communication with the Service Provider.

SAP has already predefined and delivered the following definitions:

  • Service provider type 'StreamWork' and the supported methods on this platform (view cluster CLBVC_PTYPE)
  • Default URL of the SAP Jam server in view cluster CLBVC_PLATF_DEF
  • In view cluster CLBVC_PLATF, choose service provider type 'StreamWork'.
  • For each server to which you want to connect, you have to specify the following settings:
  • Service Provider name: in case of SAP Jam, this must be sapjam.com.

  • The URL that addresses the SAP Jam data center, as communicated by SAP Jam's product support.

  • The proxy settings (host and port) only need to be specified in older releases, in cases when you face HTTP errors (for example, ICM_HTTP_ CONNECTION_FAILED).

  • SSL client identity is 'ANONYM', corresponding to the SSL client (Anonymous) of transaction STRUST.

  • Select the 'Send Notifications' checkbox only in a SAP NetWeaver Gateway system where you want to distribute Gateway notifications to SAP Jam.

  • If 'Send Notifications' is to be used on the Gateway system, it is mandatory to specify the RFC destination of the Gateway hub system in the connected back-end system.

  • Specifying a bgRFC destination that deviates from the default IWFND_ODATA_PUSH is optional (only relevant on the Gateway system; for the backend system the Backend Event Publisher of Gateway always uses IWFND_ODATA_PUSH).

  • The valid authentication method for each authentication context, for each relevant server of SAP Jam should be as follows:

APPLI (application context) OAUTH_10_SHA1
APPUSR (application context with user authentication) OAUTH_10_SHA_3
USER (user context) SAML_20
NONE (no authentication) NONE

For the connection to SAP Jam, the settings shall be as follows:

Service provider Type: StreamWork
Server: Jam productive
Service Provider: sapjam.com
URL target server: The data center URL that has been communicated
  by the product support of SAP Jam.
Proxy Host: Empty (*)
Proxy Port: Empty (*)
SSL Client Identity: ANONYM
Send Notifications, bgRFC Destination,
Gateway Destination: Empty or unmarked, if you do not use
the distribution of notifications via SAP NetWeaver Gateway.

(*) only need to be specified in older releases, in cases when you face HTTP errors (for example, ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED)
