TAX_AU_CE_001 - Assign Concurrent Employment Grouping Values to Business Numbers
ROGBILLS - Synchronize billing plans BAL_S_LOG - Application Log: Log header dataThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
Use
In this step, you assign Concurrent Employment grouping values to the Australian Business Numbers (ABN) assigned to your enterprise by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). For each ABN that your enterprise uses and specifies in the Payroll Australia Implementation Guide, you must assign a distinct four-character Concurrent Employment (CE) grouping value.
You also assign a Branch Number to a grouping value.
Requirements
Perform this step only after activating CE functionality within your system.
Standard settings
As delivered, in the left column of the subsequent screen, the standard system displays all ABNs that you have specified in the Payroll Australia Implementation Guide. In the right column of the subsequent screen, the standard system displays no entries; you specify these entries in this IMG step.
Note
- While assigning an ABN and a Branch Number to a grouping value, the following combinations are not possible:
- Assigning the same group value to two different combinations of ABN and Branch Number. For example, if the grouping value is GP01, and the combinations of ABN and Branch Number (BR) are:
ABN1 and BRX
ABN2 and BRY
In this case, you can only assign GP01 to either ABN1 and BRX or to ABN2 and BRY.
- Assigning a single ABN to two separate Branch Numbers and to two separate grouping numbers. For
example, for ABN1 avoid creating the following combinations of Branch Number (BR) and Grouping Value (GP):
ABN1 - BR1 - GPO1
ABN1 - BR2 - GP02
- AU CE: Maintain Grouping value for ABN table view (V_T5QGP_CE), reads
the default values of ABN and Branch Number from Personnel area, business subsection
(Australia) table (V_T5QGP). While selecting values, the view picks up unique combinations of ABN and Branch Number.
For example, Personnel area, business subsection (Australia) table (V_T5QGP) contains the following values of ABN and Branch Number:
PA (PSA) - ABN (Branch Number) |
AU01(0001) - 99000000000(1) |
AU01(0001) - 10238021211(0) |
AU02(0021) - 10238021211(0) |
AUPS(001) - 10238021211(0) |
AU02(0001) - 13385234523(0) |
AU02(0022) - 14478453232(0) |
AUPS(002) - 14478453232(0) |
- Since AU CE: Maintain Grouping value for ABN table view (V_T5QGP_CE) only picks up unique combinations of ABN and Branch Number, it will pick up the following values:
ABN (Branch Number) |
99000000000(1) |
10238021211(0) |
13385234523(0) |
14478453232(0) |
Activities
- Execute this IMG step.
- On the subsequent screen, review the ABNs that your enterprise has configured in the Payroll Australia Implementation Guide.
- For each ABN found in the left column, specify a distinct four-character grouping value in the right column.
- Save your entries, return to the Implementation Guide, then proceed with configuration
Example
Suppose that the following combination of ABN and Branch Numbers are assigned to your enterprise and specified in the Payroll Australia Implementation Guide.
-
10238021211(001)
13278324211(002)
13385234523(005)
14478453232(003)
99000000000(004)
Here, the first eleven characters indicate the ABN and the last three the Branch Number. Upon executing this IMG step, you must specify five distinct Concurrent Employment grouping values in the right column of the subsequent screen, as illustrated below.
-
AB01
AB02
AB05
