With this Customizing activity, you define a maturity selection routine. Based on the pricing date, the time to maturity-shift, and the nearby period as defined in the maturity selection routine, the system automatically determines the maturity key date.

You must have specified a time to maturity in the Customizing activity Specify Time to Maturity.

By default, if no maturity selection routine is specified, or the 1ST_NEARBY routine is selected, the system determines the maturity key date by the first nearby period.

To determine the maturity key date by subsequent nearby periods, you select the 2ND_NEARBY or the 3RD_NEARBY routine.

Note:
For a customer-specific maturity key date determination from DCS-based periods, you can use the BAdI: Maturity Key Date Determination by Maturity Selection Routine.

If the pricing date is 01.03.2017 and the time to maturity (tenor) is defined as 1 month-shift, the maturity key date is derived as follows:

  • If not routine is defined, the shifted pricing date is 01.04.2017, which is in period 01, the maturity key date is 22.04.2017.
  • If the 1st_Nearby routine is defined, the shifted pricing date is 01.04.2017, which is in period 01, the maturity key date is 22.04.2017.
  • If the 2nd_Nearby routine is defined, the shifted pricing date is 01.05.2017, which is in period 02, the maturity key date is 22.05.2017.
  • If the 3rd_Nearby routine is defined, the shifted pricing date is 01.06.2017, which is in period 03, the maturity key date is 22.06.2017.
