TDHC03_DELCOM_TRANG1 - Deletion Using the Target Ranges

Use

You can use the transaction code CNVTDMS_HCM_DELETEto delete not only the personnel numbers in the receiver system that are to be transferred, but the entire target range can be deleted for a particular user as defined in the activity ' Define Target Areas for Users (Optional)'.

Note: This is an information activity in customizing setting. In order to execute the deletion in receiver system, execute above transaction code in control system. You will require separate authorization in order to execute above transaction code.

This functionality is designed to improve performance for deletion and also provide additional flexibility for deletion of Personnel numbers in target ranges other than the one that is being transferred.

This is a mass deletion activity and the tables that are considered for deletion are read from the table CNVHCM_TR_TAB which is maintained using the activity 'Table Transfer Status (Optional)'.

Integration

To run this utility program, use the transaction CNVTDMS_HCM_DELETE in the control system.

Prerequisites

It is required to maintain the target ranges that need to be deleted in the activity

'Define Target Areas for Users (Optional)'

Activities

For Example you need to delete Personnel number in the target range from 1 to 40000 in the receiver system for the table maintained in the activity 'Table Transfer Status (Optional)'.

1.,, Execute activity ' Define Target Areas for Users (Optional)' and maintain the following entries ,,

Project : '*'

Subproject: '*'

Pack ID: '93322'

USER: 'TDMSTEST'

Plan Version: '01'

Object Type: 'P'

From: '1'

To: '40000'

2.,,Execute the transaction code CNVTDMS_HCM_DELETEin control system. This would delete the entries in ,,the receiver system for the maintained target ranges.

3.,,Once the data has been deleted from receiver system, the corresponding entries from the activity 'Define ,,Target Areas for Users (Optional)' can be removed.

4.,,Execute further steps 'Transfer selection Criteria' as usual.
