In this activity, you exclude infotypes or infotype / subtype combinations from the transfer. For example, you may have a specific infotype that should never be transferred.

This activity is optional.

The phase must be active in order to maintain customizing data.

Customizing data must be either defined, or transported to the sender system.

The Object Type refers to either the:

  • Letter 'P' (indicates that this is a PA infotype)

or to the

  • OTYPE value from the PD infotype.

The infotype value must be entered with leading zeros. For example "0006" is accepted but "6" is not. There is no check for this but no exclude will occur for incorrectly maintained infotype entries.

The subtype value is relevant only to PA infotypes. If a PD infotype is selected then the subtype field can remain empty. For PA, the field can remain either empty or contain a '*' if the infotype is to be completely excluded. Note here too that the subtype must be entered correctly. If it has leading zeros then these must be entered and, if it does not, then none should be entered.

For example, the subtypes for infotype 0006 do not contain leading zeros. In this case you would enter a "1" for the Permanent residence subtype. The subtypes for infotype 2001 does contain zeros so you'd enter "0100".

You can easily use the Display HR Master Data (PA20) tranasaction in the sender system to see which values are valid for a given infotype. Again, there is no check here.

You execute this activity in the control system.
