In this IMG activity, you assign exposure activity types and exposure categories for exposures with origins outside of Exposure Management in Treasury and Risk Management (TRM). You have to make these settings if you use the integration of Logistics with TRM.

For more information, see SAP Library -> SAP ERP Central Component -> Financials -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Exposure Management 2.0 -> Integration of Logistics with Treasury and Risk Management.

You assign the following attributes to incoming exposures:

  • Exposure Origin: Specifies the source where the exposure was created.
  • (Reversal Indicator: Not relevant)
  • Fixed/Floating Indicator: Indicates whether raw exposure categories with floating and/or fixed prices are considered.
  • Delivery Status: Indicates the relevance and the status of goods delivery.
  • Invoicing Status: Indicates the relevance and the status of invoicing.
  • Exposure Activity Type: You select an exposure activity type with the respective commodity exposure approach category as previously specified in the Customizing activity Define Exposure Activity Types.
Approach categories that can be selected:
  • Fixed Prices: 2 (Raw exposures of this category have a fixed price.)

  • Floating Prices: 3 (Raw exposures of this category have variable pricing information.)

  • Fixed and Floating Prices: 4 (Raw exposures of this category can have either fixed prices or floating prices.)

  • Exposure Category: Indicates the status of the raw exposures and is used to differentiate exposure positions, especially for the transfer to E-Hedge Accounting (see also Exposure Category).
The following exposure categories are available:
  • ,,01 Forecasted Transaction

  • ,,02 Firm Commitment Transaction

  • ,,03 Asset/Liability Transaction

Note: You can define additional exposure categories.

For each incoming exposure notification, the system checks whether there is already a raw exposure with an identical external document number. If this is the case, the system simply adjusts the existing raw exposure. Otherwise, the system creates a new raw exposure.

With the release of a raw exposure, the system updates or creates corresponding exposure positions out of the sub raw exposures. If a change to a raw exposure affects the differentiation criteria of the exposure positions, the old exposure position is deleted and a new one is created.

With the Integration of Logistics with TRM, the system uses the origins of the integrated applications (Purchasing, Sales, and Global Trade Management). For more information, see http://help.sap.com/erp/ -> SAP ERP Central Component -> Accounting -> SAP Financial Supply Chain Management (FIN FSCM) -> SAP Treasury and Risk Management -> Financial Risk Management for Commodities -> Exposure Management 2.0 -> Integration of Logistics with Treasury and Risk Management.
