In this Customizing activity, you can specify reasons for a nomination or approval for the following contexts:

  • Indicating a position as a key position
  • Assigning an employee to a position as a successor
  • Classifying an employee as potentially suitable for the jobs in a job family

The reasons that you create here are available to the talent management specialist or manager for selection when he or she needs to specify the reason for a nomination or approval in the respective context.

The standard system contains reasons for each context and nomination status. You can use these reasons, or create your own.

In this Customizing activity, you create the following reasons for the Assignment of a Successor to a Position context:

  • Reasons for status Nominated:
  • Suitable Requirements Profile (Nominated)

  • Exceptionally Suitable Requirements Profile (Nominated)

  • Reasons for status Approved:
  • Suitable Requirements Profile (Approved)

  • Exceptionally Suitable Requirements Profile (Approved)

If a talent management specialist assigns an employee to a position as a successor, depending on the status that he or she sets, he or she can select from the corresponding reasons.
