TMC_0007 - Define Basic Authorizations

In this Customizing activity, you specify the authorizations for the talent management specialist and the authorizations of managers and employees in relation to Talent Management activities. For this, you can use the following standard single roles as a template:

• Talent Management Specialist: SAP_SR_TMC_TMS_6

• Talent Management Superuser: SAP_SR_TMC_TMS_6

• Manager: SAP_SR_TMC_MANAGER_6

• Employee: SAP_SR_TMC_EMPLOYEE_6

Note

You should no longer use the following roles as a template:

• Talent Management Specialist: SAP_TMC_TALENT_MANA_SPECIALIST

• Talent Management Superuser: SAP_TMC_SUPER_TALENT_MANA_SPEC

• Manager: SAP_TMC_MANAGER

• Employee: SAP_TMC_EMPLOYEE

Note that the roles for the talent management specialist, the talent management superuser, and the manager need the authorization for the S_RFC authorization object to be able to access applications that call the HRTMC_SERVICES function group. This function group comprises the Remote Function Calls (RFCs) for external applications that can be used for Succession Planning, for example. This authorization is contained in the standard roles mentioned above.

If you want to use the standard roles as a template, copy them to the customer namespace and adjust them to suit your requirements. For more information, see the application help.
