In this Customizing activity, you use a wizard to create the forms that are required for the various talent assessment processes. The forms are appraisal templates that are also used for Objective Setting and Appraisals (component PA-PD-PM).

When creating the forms, all table entries required for their use are generated:

  • The assignment of the forms to processes
  • The scales that you require for the talent assessment
  • The scale assignment to the forms
  • The criteria group and criteria of the forms
  • Criteria group: Talent Management Core

  • Criteria group ID: 300

A criterion is created under this group for each of the processes for which you create forms.
  • The forms (structure, headers)
  • The form elements
Note
For the form elements, the system generates entries in the Adjust Data Retrieval for Appraisals, Evaluations, and Surveys Customizing activity. For the forms that you want to use productively, you need to manually place these generated entries in a transport request and transport them since the system does not automatically query a transport request for entries generated automatically.

In the standard SAP system, you can define forms for the following processes:

  • Performance Management (ID: PMP) (only if business function HCM_OSA_CI_1 is active)
  • Development Plan (ID: DEVP)
  • Potential (ID: POT)
  • Risks (ID: RISK)
  • Derailers (ID: BARR)
  • Competencies (ID: COMP)
Note
For this form, you can additionally specify that the competencies are transferred to an employee’s qualifications profile if a manager assesses the employee’s competency based on the form and closes the appraisal document.
If you want to transfer competencies to the qualifications profile, also check the settings under Talent Assessment -> Make Further Settings for Talent Assessment.
If the managers in your enterprise had already made competency assessments based on a form for which there was no option to transfer the competencies to the qualifications profile, these competencies are stored in the appraisal document only. You can retroactively transfer these competencies to the qualifications profile. Choose Talent Assessment -> Retroactively Transfer Competencies to Qualifications Profile.
  • Nominations for Talent Groups (ID: TALG)

For all of the processes that you require, make the available settings for creating forms:

  1. Select the process.
  2. Select the required action:
  • Create

  • Copy

The system provides only those forms that were created since the copy function was made available as a template. The required configuration information is not stored in the system for forms that were created before this.
If you create a form for Performance Management, you can also display details for each template.
  • Delete

You can only delete forms on which no appraisal documents are based.
  1. Choose Start.
  2. Make the following settings.
  3. In the last step, confirm Complete Configuration by choosing Yes.
  4. Under Basic Settings -> Adjusting the User Interfaces -> Configurations for Data Retrieval -> Extend Field Selection, perform the Adjust Data Retrieval for Appraisals, Evaluations, and Surveys Customizing activity. Select the generated entries that you want to transport and choose Table View -> Transport.
