SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you specify how the following Talent Management user interfaces are to be displayed in your enterprise:

  • Business-card view
  • Columns in the list view of the talent review meeting
  • Columns in the detailed list view for a box of the calibration grid
  • Columns in the detailed list view for open assessments
  • Groupings in talent monitor
  • Columns of result list for follow-up activities for talent review meetings

If you define customer configurations, you can specify which fields that you have available in the field selection are to be displayed in which sequence. You can also overwrite the standard field labels and add your own fields or columns.

Note for Follow-Up List
You can define columns for the follow-up list as follows:

  • With a configuration that you define in this Customizing activity.

The system does not display the fields that you use the configuration to define on the user interface directly. These fields are available as an additional column set instead. The administrator or end user can personalize the follow-up list and in doing so insert columns from this column pool.

Note for Business-Card View and List View
All fields or columns that you add are displayed in addition to the fields or columns available in the standard SAP system.
The business-card view always displays the following fields:
  • Employee Photo

  • Calibration Grid Icon

  • Status Icon (for example, the Nominated status)

  • Employee Name

The fields that are specified in the configuration for the business-card view (for example, Manager, Position, Talent Group, and Location) are displayed below this. The system displays the first field of the configuration (in the example, Manager) directly below the employee name and without a field label. It displays the remaining fields (in the example, Position, Talent Group, and Location) below the first field and with field labels.
The list views always display the following columns:
  • First column: Employee Photo

  • Second column: Employee Name

  • Last column: Status Icon (for example, the Nominated status)

The system displays the fields that are specified in the configuration for each list view (for example, Position, Level, Manager, Talent Group, and Location) between the employee name and the status icon. In the example:
  • Column 1: Employee Photo

  • Column 2: Employee Name

  • Column 3: Position

  • Column 4: Level

  • Column 5: Manager

  • Column 6: Talent Group

  • Column 7: Location

  • Column 8: Status Icon

If you want to use your own fields in customer configurations, you must add these fields to the field selection catalog.

The standard SAP system contains standard configurations that follow the SAP_* naming convention for all user interfaces.

  1. Create a configuration in the customer namespace for each user interface that you want to adjust to meet your requirements.
  2. Assign the fields that are to be displayed to the configuration and define the sequence of these fields, if required, also specify an alternative field label.
  3. Then, in the Assign Configuration to User Interface Customizing activity, assign this configuration to the corresponding user interface.

In the business-card view, you want to display the standard fields Talent Group and Position, a marital status field from the Personal Data infotype (0002), and a field from customer infotype 9123.

Create the following configuration:

  • Configuration ID: MY_BUSINESS_CARD
  • Configuration description: My Configuration
  • Object type: CP (Central Person)

Then add the following fields to this configuration:

Field Name Sequence
SAP_TALENT_GROUP 1
Z_MARITAL_STATUS 2
ZMY_INFOTYPE9123_FIELD1 3
SAP_POSITION 4

Note
You must have added the fields Z_MARITAL_STATUS and ZMY_INFOTYPE9123_FIELD1 to the field selection catalog.
For field ZMY_INFOTYPE9123_FIELD1, you must create an implementation of BAdI BADI_HRTMC_DR_FIELDS, for example, by copying the implementation for infotype 0002 and adjusting it accordingly.
