You only need to perform this Customizing activity if you have created your own search models (templates) in Embedded Search, or have supplemented the SAP standard search model with customer nodes.

In this Customizing activity you can specify which Embedded Search modeling search models (templates) can be used in the searches for Talent Management.

For each node of a search model (template), make settings to control data extraction. Based on the nodes of the search model, you must define the change pointer for each search model (template) so that changes to the dataset can be consecutively indexed by Embedded Search in Search and Classification TREX.

The templates and their nodes must have been modeled in Embedded Search.

  • If you have modeled a new search model in Embedded Search modeling, you must communicate this to Talent Management in the Objects folder and enter the basic information for the root node of the search model.
Then enter the necessary information for data extraction in the Node folder for each node of the new search model.
Based on this data, you then define the necessary change pointer of the search model in the Control Change Pointer folder.
  • If you have added other (your own) nodes to an existing search model in Embedded Search modeling, you must communicate these new nodes to Talent Management by entering the necessary information for data extraction for each of these nodes.
Then check whether the change pointer for the search model needs to be adjusted.
