TMC_0062 - Specify Properties of Categories for Talent Profile Overview

In this Customizing activity, you specify how the individual categories are to be displayed in the overview of the detailed talent profile. For example, you can specify in which sequence the categories are to be displayed and whether the information is displayed as a scale or as text.

A short extract of the complete information available in the talent profile is displayed on the Overview tab page of the detailed talent profile. Therefore, for each category you can provide an additional link that enables the user to jump to the relevant tab page with the complete information. For the additional link to be displayed, the following prerequisites must be met:

• In this Customizing activity, you have made entries for the main view and the subview.

• The corresponding tab pages are available in the detailed talent profile.

• If you want to use your own categories in addition to the standard categories, you must have created them in the Create Categories for Overview of Detailed Talent Profile Customizing activity.

• If you want to use a different method to the standard method to retrieve data for a category, you must create a corresponding class. You always need a separate class for customer categories.

1. Under Check Standard Properties of Categories, check how the properties are specified in the standard system.
2. If you do not want to display a category in the overview, delete it from this view.
3. If you want to adjust a standard category to suit your requirements, under Change Properties of Categories, create an entry for this category and make the relevant settings.
4. If you have created your own category in the Create Categories for Overview of Detailed Talent Profile Customizing activity, enter it under Change Properties of Categories and make the relevant settings.

Example 1

You want to use the Internal Work Experience standard category. This category is to be displayed in the right-hand column of the overview in fourth position and is to comprise five rows. The work experience information is to be displayed as text with multiple columns.

On the Overview tab page of the talent profile, the More... link is to be displayed for the Internal Work Experience category. The link should jump to the Internal Work Experience tab page.

The Internal Work Experience tab page is a subtab page of the Resume tab page. The HRTMC_LP_OIF component configuration contains the following IDs for the Resume and Internal Work Experience tab pages:

• Resume: CURRICULUM_VITAE

• Internal Work Experience: 7402

Therefore, in this Customizing activity, under Change Properties of Categories, create an entry for SAP_INWORK and make the following entries for this category:

• Sequence: 4

• Side: Right

• Rows: 5

• Class: Empty

• Type: Without scale

• Main view: CURRICULUM_VITAE

• Subview: 7402

Example 2

You do not want the Languages standard category to be displayed in the overview. Therefore, in this Customizing activity, under

Check Standard Properties of Categories, delete the corresponding entry.
