TMC_0065 - Define New Storage Locations for Attachments
General Material Data General Data in Customer MasterThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity, you can call the Document Modeling Workbench to specify new logical and physical classes for documents and notes, as well as for calibration grid symbols.
To avoid performance problems for a large number of uploaded documents, we recommend that you create new logical and physical classes for documents and notes via the Document Modeling Workbench (transaction DMWB) for the HCM_TMC document area.
This should not usually be necessary for calibration grid symbols.
Note- Since attachments are mainly processed in the background, the system writes notifications to the application log if problems arise. For example, incorrect Customizing settings could result in an error. Therefore, if the processing of the attachments does not function as expected, evaluate the application log (transaction SLG1). Make the following entries:
- Object: HRTMC
- Subobject: ATTACHMENT
The new classes must use the following Talent Management naming conventions:
- The logical and physical class for documents must each start with the prefix DOC (for example, DOC_LOIO1).
- The logical and physical class for notes must each start with the prefix TXT (for example, TXT_PHIO1).
- The logical and physical class for calibration grid symbols must each start with the prefix GRID (for example, GRID_PHIO1).
SAP provides the following standard classes for Talent Management:
Standard Class | Description |
---|---|
DOC_LOIO1 | Logical class for documents |
DOC_PHIO1 | Physical class for documents |
TXT_LOIO1 | Logical class for notes |
TXT_PHIO1 | Physical class for notes |
GRID_LOIO1 | Logical class for calibration grid symbols |
GRID_PHIO1 | Physical class for calibration grid symbols |
- Create new logical and physical classes for Talent Management as required.
- In the Assign Storage Locations and Maximum File Size Customizing activity, assign these new classes to the standard parameters.
