TMC_0096 - Specify Triggering Status Change for Delimitation/Deletion of Assignments

In this Customizing activity, you define which changes to an employee's employment status mean that the system automatically delimits the validity of successor or talent assignments, or deletes the assignments. This applies to the following types of assignments:

• Successor assignment to a position

• Talent assignment to a talent group

• Indication of a talent as potentially suitable for the jobs in a job family

In the standard SAP system, the system automatically delimits these assignments or deletes them, if an HR Administrator uses a personnel action to change an employee's employment status from Active (3) to one of the following employment statuses:

• Left Company (0)

• Inactive (1)

• Pensioner (2)

Note

The system also delimits or deletes an employee's successor assignment to a position if the employee becomes the holder of this position. You do not need to make any Customizing settings for this.

In the standard SAP system, it is defined that all of the three aforementioned changes to the employment status result in the assignments being delimited or deleted.

Select the required parameter value for the parameter STATUS_CHANGE. For more information, see Triggering Status Change for Automatic Delimitation/Deletion.

Caution

If you delete the entry in the Parameter Value field, no change to the employment status results in the successor and talent assignments being delimited or deleted.

However, the system continues to delimit or delete successor assignments to positions, if the employee becomes the holder of the position in question.
