TRBAC_FLDCHK_ACT - Activate Check of Entered Values for Product Types/Fields

In this Customizing activity, you can activate the check of the entered field values for the following fields available on the Administration tab in financial transaction data:

• Assignment

• Characteristics

• Internal Reference

The check compares the entered field value with the values defined in the following Customizing activities:

• Define Values for Assignment Field

• Define Values for Characteristics Field

• Define Values for Internal Reference Field

You can use this fields for the automatic derivation of the hedging classification in the Hedge Management and Accounting of Net Open Exposures (FX Risk) process. (See also: Define Derivation Rules for Hedging Classifications) To ensure the correct derivation of the hedging classification you can activate the check for product types which are allowed as hedging instruments within the process.

From the date on you make an entry in this Customizing (= automatically set as Valid From Date) the check is performed for the specific product types and fields and either a warning or an error message is displayed, if a user enters a value in the specific field in the financial transaction data which is not available in the Customizing:

• If the financial transaction has been created before the valid from date, the systems displays a warning message.

• If the financial transaction has been created after the valid from date, the system raises an error message and you cannot save the financial transaction.

Define the allowed values for the fields.

1. Choose New Entries.
2. Choose the product type.
3. Choose the field.
4. Save your entries.
