TREV_TRANS_TYPE - Assign Transaction Types for Inv. Pool Participant Transactions

In this IMG activity, you assign each product type the transaction types that should be used to automatically generate transactions from investment pool participants and investment pools.
An investment made by a participant in an investment pool is mapped in the system using two securities transactions:
- The first transaction represents the purchase of investment pool shares by the investment pool participants (transaction category: Purchase).
- The second transaction represents the issue of pool shares to the investment pool participants (transaction category: Issue: Placement).
The system similarly maps both a reduction in investment pool shares belonging to the participant due to a sale (transaction category: Sale) and a corresponding repurchase (transaction category: Issue: Repurchase).
You can automate these activities using transaction Generate Transactions for Investment Pool Participants (TPM86). The system automatically generates transactions and also uses the transaction types assigned in this IMG activity.
You have defined the assigned transaction types. Choose Securities → Transaction Management → Transaction Types → Define Transaction Types.Use the product type that represents pool certificates (product category 20 - investment certificate).
The transaction categories need to be correctly assigned to the transaction types:

| Transaction type: repurchase | Transaction category 400 (issue: repurchase) |

Note:
For the assigned transaction types, define the processing category 0001 (Order - Contract). If you do not do this, you will have to transfer the transactions manually in Settlement status before they can be posted.
Corresponding transaction types have already been defined and assigned in sample Customizing. You can use these standard settings when making your own settings.
