In this IMG activity, you can mark the valuation areas that represent the company group or subgroup as relevant for Intragroup Trading. A security transaction is classified as intragroup transaction (IGT) at company group level and company subgroup level respectively.

A security transaction between two organizational units that belong to the same group/subgroup is then classified as an Intra Group Transaction in these specific valuation areas by setting an intragroup indicator at the transaction. It is possible to qualify security transactions as intragroup transactions on product category level and on product type level.

You must define a valuation area that represents the group or subgroup view.

Enter the accounting code, valuation area, and product category for which you want to enable intragroup transaction handling.

  • If you want to enable it for the complete product category, set the intragroup indicator for product categories.
  • If you want to restrict the intragroup handling to specific product types within the product category only:
  1. Leave the intragroup indicator on product category level blank.
  2. Mark the entry and drill down to the intragroup indicator for product types.
  3. Enter the relevant product types and set the intragroup indicator for each.
