SAP E-Book

In this step, you define factory calendars for the payment currencies. The calendars should contain the public holidays which apply in the country in which the currency is traded.

An outgoing US dollar payment is to be made to a bank in the USA. The value date at the receiving bank should be Monday, July 7. For the USA, 2 days difference have been defined (time between partner and house bank). The factory calendar for the USA has been defined as the factory calendar for the US dollar.

For the calculation of the value date at the house bank, the following applies:

The value date 07/07 at the receiving bank minus 2 days results in 07/05, which is a Saturday and therefore not a working day. This takes us to July 4, which is also not a working day in the USA. The value date for the house bank is therefore 07/03.

The relevant calendars have already been defined for a number of currencies.

A value date can also be calculated individually by SAP partners and customers.

The Business Transaction Events process interface 00001610 is available for this purpose.
