In this Customizing activity, you activate Work Clearance Management (WCM) for maintenance orders.

To activate work clearance management, you indicate which maintenance processing approvals require WCM. You do this by assigning the required permit level to the maintenance order.

WCM must be activated for Two-Ticket System (TTS) functions in China.

You are using enhanced Work Clearance Management (WCM) functions within Plant Maintenance (PM).

You have implemented the PM, Two-Ticket Localization Topics for China business function.

In this Customizing activity, you maintain the Activate Work Clearance Management for Maintenance Orders(WCVM1) Customizing view.

For more information, see the Activate Work Clearance Management for Maintenance Order Customizing activity.

  1. Start view maintenance, using transaction SM30and the Activate Work Clearance Management for Maintenance Orders(WCVM1) Customizing view.
  2. Specify the following:
  • The permit level (WCM)

  • The object type (WA)

  1. Save the changes.
