In this Customizing activity, you define safety measures and supplemental safety measures for use in work tickets. These safety measures are applied to work tickets within Two-Ticket (TTS) and Three-Operation (TOS) plant management systems in China.

Safety measures are precautions that are enable the safe completion of maintenance work. For example, a safety measure may apply to the flow of water or electricity to a maintenance site.

Defining safety measures is mandatory: if you do not complete this Customizing activity, then it is not possible to complete work tickets.

You are using enhanced Work Clearance Management (WCM) functions within Plant Maintenance (PM).

You have implemented the PM, Two-Ticket Localization Topics for China business function.

In this Customizing activity, you maintain attributes for safety measures using the Safety Measure Maintenance (TTSSMTR) transaction; this transaction uses the Safety Measure Attributes (V_TTS_SM_TREE) Customizing view.

The combination of Safety Measure ID, Plant, Use of WCM, and Safety Measure Type fields is used to uniquely identify a safety measure or supplemental safety measure.

Once defined, a safety measure should not be deleted or changed. However, it is possible to define additional safety measures for use.

Transactional safety measure data is stored in the Safety Measure and Supplemental Safety Measure Data (TTS_SM_DATA) table.

  1. Start the Safety Measure Maintenance (TTSSMTR) transaction.
  2. Complete data as follows:
  • Specify the plant where the safety measure applies

  • Specify how the safety measure is used by defining the usage value

  • Specify a unique safety measure ID

  • Indicate whether it is a safety measure or supplemental safety measure

  • Describe the safety measure

  1. Complete and save the required safety measure data.
