In this activity, you define the tax event determination by combining the parameters created in the Customizing Activities listed below in Preconditions.

The TTE uses the tax event in the Customizing activity

Define EU tax event

You have created the required paramaters in the following Customizing activities.

Country-specific and region specific taxation should be used as a guideline for the required Customizing entries.

Validate your Customizing settings in:

Validate Customizing Settings

  1. Select Country.
  2. Select Tax Community, if applicable.

Note

You can leave blank the parameters for any of the following four key fields. In the case of a blank parameter, all the parameters for that field are taken into account.

  1. Select Direction Indicator
Exports are usually zero-rated whilst domestic transactions assigned the location relationships "Domestic Interstate", "Domestic Intrastate" result in a wider choice of tax events.
Note:
Do not assign the location relationship "Europe Intracommunity" as the EU tax events are defined in Define EU tax event.
  1. Select the business process.
  2. Select the product taxability.
  3. Select the recipient taxability.
  4. Select the tax event type as being either:
1 -Taxable at Customer Location
2- Taxable at Vendor Location
3- Not taxable
  1. Select an existing tax event.
  2. Save your entries.
