You can set the following model parameters for Planning and Consolidation, version for SAP NetWeaver.

Use: (Optional) Used to monitor system performance. Certain modules in Planning and Consolidation write detailed run-time statistics to tables UJ0_STAT_HDR and UJ0_STAT_DTL so that you can better analyze where performance bottlenecks occur. Valid values are ON and OFF.

DTSLOGPAGESIZE

Use: (Optional) Sets the number of records that display in the Data Manager Status View. The default value is 300.

ORG_ACCOUNTOWN

Use: (Optional) Allows customers to provide an alternative account to PGROUP in the Ownership cube.

SIGNED_DATA_FORMAT

Use: (Optional) Specifies the decimal precision and scale of the signeddata column of the tables tblFact, tblFac2 and tblFactWB in a model. Default value is 25,10 (25 for precision and 10 for scale). This parameter is used in Admin – Add a new model, Modify model, and Copy a model.

VALIDATE_MBR_LOGIC

Use: (Optional) Specifies that the system validates members when processing logic. The performance of processing logic decreases due to this validation. Valid values are:

  • 1 – The system filters records that would otherwise post to a parent member to a member that no longer exists or a member calculated dimension formula.

  • 0 – (Default) The system bypasses this validation.

YTD_NECJ_RETRIEVE

Use: (Optional) Specifies the query type to improve the performance of data retrieval when retrieving YTD measures on Periodic models or the opposite. This parameter is used in Retrieve data functions EVDRE, EVGET, EVGTS, EVSND, EVINP. This parameter is useful in the following circumstances:

  • YTD / QTD measured data is retrieved on a periodic model or Periodic / QTD measured data is retrieved on a YTD model.

  • The retrieval range is large, but the portion of the data existing in cells is small.

  • ColKeyRange or RowKeyRange has more than two dimensions.

  • The retrieval range has no members with a dimension formula.

Valid values are:

  • 1 – To use the NonEmptyCrossJoin query

  • 0 – (Default) Not to use the NonEmptyCrossJoin query

To set a parameter for Planning and Consolidation, perform the following steps:

  1. Perform transaction SIMGH.
  2. In the Edit IMG Structure page, search for and select BPC Configurationin the IMG Structure field.
    1. Open the Find structure editor.
    2. Enter BPC Configurationas a title of the structure description and then choose Execute.
    3. In the next window, select BPC Configurationand choose Copy.
    4. You can add it as a favorite by choosing the Favoriteicon.
  3. Choose the Change IMG Structureicon.
  4. Select a parameter level to manage by choosing the IMG - Activityicon beside the desired parameter level.

  • Environment

  • Model

  1. Specify an environment, a model, or both, as necessary, then choose Execute. The list of parameters displays.
  2. To modify the value of a parameter, select a parameter and choose the Changeicon. Make and save your changes.
  3. To insert a new parameter, choose the Inserticon, then do the following steps:
    1. Enter the name of the new parameter and choose OK.
    2. Specify the value of this new parameter and choose OK.
    3. Save your changes.
