VCH_SD_VAR_DATA - BAdI: Create Product Variant from Sales Order, Product Data

In sales order creation, you have the option to replace your configurable product with its configuration by a product variant. Furthermore, you have the option to create the product variant during sales order processing. In this case, you may want to automatically fill some fields in the product master data. This BAdI gives you the option to do so.

You want to set the status for a newly created product variant as blocked so that a product master specialist needs to manually process its master data before the sales order is released. In the BAdI implementation, you do this by assigning the required status value to the field PRODUCT_DATA-CROSSPLANTSTATUS. Also set CHANGED_PRODUCT_FIELDS- CROSSPLANTSTATUS to 'X'.
