In this activity, you define which customer-specific fields are added to the utility contract.

You can allocate new fields to the contract, preassign values to fields based on product, and make settings regarding visibility and changeability of the fields.

  1. You have created the set type and attributes that you want to allocate to the contract in the Process Set Types and Attributes transaction (COMM_ATTRSET).
  2. You have added new fields to the contract using the Easy Enhancement Workbench (EEWB).

To allocate a new field, proceed as follows:

  1. Choose New Entries.
  2. Give the new fields a parameter name. Amongst other things, this is used for replication in the backend.
  3. In the Text field, enter a descriptive text
  4. In the Business Transaction Components field, select the business transaction component of the relevant set type.
  5. Enter the field name of the new field.

Once you have made these settings, the new field is functional.

You can also make the following settings in the activity:

  • In the Visibility field, you can define the visibility of fields. You can choose from the following entries in the input help:
  • Always - The field is displayed for all utility contracts and quotations

  • Item Cat. - The field is only displayed for a certain item category

If you choose this option, the field must be allocated to the corresponding item categories. You allocate fields to item categories in this activity under Item Categories -> Allocation of Attributes.
  • Product - The field is displayed depending on the product

A prerequisite for this is that you have allocated the multi-value set type CRM_ISU_ATTR to the relevant product and entered the correct field name.
  • Not Visible - The field is not displayed

  • In the Changeability field, you can determine whether and under what circumstances a field can be overwritten. You can choose from the following entries in the input help:
  • Display Only - The field cannot be overwritten

  • Changeable - The field can be overwritten

  • Changeable for a New Contract - The field can only be overwrittenfor a new contract

  • Changeable for a New Item - The field can only be overwritten for a new item

  • The Preassign field allows you to preassign a value to a field based on a product. If you decide that a new field from a product is preassigned a value, you must allocate the relevant set type to the product or product hierarchy and define the values in the product. If you decide not to use the product-dependent preassignment function, the field is either not given a preassigned value or it is preassigned by means of a BAdI.

As an alternative to the procedure described previously, the changeability and preassignment of customer-specific fields can be adjusted in the coding. You can do this using the methods DEFINE_DEFAULT_EXT_ATTR and DEFINE_EDIT_EXT_ATTR of interface IF_CRM_ISU_ORDER_ITEM.
