SAP E-Book

In this activity you define your own key figure groups for the Fiori app Asset History Sheet. This way you define the key figures and their sequence; this is used to break down the value of the asset portfolio in the Asset History Sheet. These key figure groups are then available as parameters when you execute the asset history sheet.

SAP delivers all the necessary key figure groups for the standard version of the asset history sheet. By default these are the key figure groups AHS (asset history sheet, book value) and AHS_PLAN (asset history sheet, planned values).

Recommendation
You generally do not need to define your own key figure groups. This is only necessary when you want to display key figures in the asset history sheet that are different to the standard or when you want a different sequence of key figure digits.
  1. If necessary, create your own key figure group. You can also create this by copying one of the standard key figure groups provided.
    1. Begin the key of the key figure group you define yourself with X,Y or Z.
    2. Assign key figure digits to the key figure group.
    3. Define the sort sequence in which you assign numbers from 1 to N (N = number of required key figure digits) to the key figures.
    4. Key figures are also displayed in the asset history sheet when the balance amount is zero (0). You can prevent this by setting the Hide Key Figure indicator.
  2. Save the new key figure group.
  3. Optional: Create a key figure hierarchy. This way you can represent the key figures of an asset history sheet in a hierarchy. You can assign multiple hierarchies to a key figure group.
    1. Choose a key figure group and create a new key figure hierarchy for it. Begin the key of the hierarchy you define yourself with X,Y or Z.
    2. Process the newly created hierarchy by right-clicking on the hierarchy node to add further subnodes or key figures to the key figure group. You can also assign the key figures to a hierarchy node by drag and drop.
    3. Save the new key figure hierarchy.
  4. Optional: Determining the analytical transaction type category.
In order to display values as acquisitions or retirements not affecting P&L in reporting, the following analytical transaction type categories and transaction types not affecting P&L are available. SAP provides key figures for Asset Accounting that already contain the assignment to the transaction type categories not affecting P&L. In IMG activity Key Figures for Asset Accounting (Fiori), you can display all key figures with the corresponding assignments.
The key figures in the SAP standard key figure groups that begin with AHS already contain the assignment to the transaction types and analytical transaction type categories.
Transaction type categories:
  • M1: Acquisition not affecting P&L

  • M2: Retirement not affecting P&L

Transaction types that are assigned to the analytical transaction type categories:
  • 1A0: (Accum.) APC prior-year acquisitions not affecting P&L

  • 1A1: (Accum.) APC current-year acquisitions not affecting P&L

  • 1A2: (Accum.) APC prior-year acquisitions not affecting P&L, affiliated company

  • 1A3: (Accum.) APC current-year acquisitions not affecting P&L, affiliated company

  • 1W0: (Accum.) Depreciation prior-year acquisitions not affecting P&L

  • 1W1: (Accum.) Depreciation current-year acquisitions not affecting P&L

  • 1W2: (Accum.) Depreciation prior-year acquisitions not affecting P&L, affiliated company

  • 1W3: (Accum.) Depreciation current-year acquisitions not affecting P&L, affiliated company

  • 2A0: (Accum.) APC prior-year retirements not affecting P&L

  • 2A1: (Accum.) APC current-year retirements not affecting P&L

  • 2A2: (Accum.) APC prior-year retirements not affecting P&L, affiliated company

  • 2A3: (Accum.) APC current-year retirements not affecting P&L, affiliated company

  • 2W0: (Accum.) Depreciation prior-year retirements not affecting P&L

  • 2W1: (Accum.) Depreciation current-year retirements not affecting P&L

  • 2W2: (Accum.) Depreciation prior-year retirements not affecting P&L, affiliated company

  • 2W3: (Accum.) Depreciation current-year retirements not affecting P&L, affiliated company

The key figure 01701000 displays the accumulated APC of an acquisition not affecting P&L. In the definition of the key figures of Asset Accounting, the key figure of the analytical transaction type category M1: is assigned as an acquisition not affecting P&L. All line items with a transaction type that are assigned to the analytical transaction type category M1 (for example, 1A0: (Accum.) APC prior-year acquisitions not affecting profit/loss), are combined under the key figure for the accumulated APC of an acquisition not affecting profit/loss.
